Happy Holidays

Congratulations to all for an inspiring concert Tuesday night. The Shaker Tune was a highlight - easily the best we had every played this challenging little tune - congrats to Jeff, Emily, Martin, Ann, Meghan, Shawn, Tiffany and the euphs. Good job on putting Joy together - a very difficult piece for just 6 rehearsals. Congrats to Ashley, Jason and the horns. Kudos to the flutes on Sontag - beautiful work on the slower tempo. Thank you to everyone for coming early to prepare the Sing Along - I even heard our audience singing along! Lots of smiles all around. Thank you to our trombone quartet for the rendition of God Rest Ye, excellent performance of a very difficult piece. I appreciate the extra time you took to prepare. I hope you had as much fun on Star Wars as I did, what an enjoyable performance. Congrats to Martin, Meghan, Jason, Emily, the horns, the percussion section and everyone. A lot of great comments from the audience. Great afterglow in the hall after the concert. You drew a great sized and very appreciative crowd which makes even more memorable.

I'm already looking forward to working with you on our next concert, "A Night At The Ballet." As always I am open to featuring a chamber group or two during the concert. Also, for this concert I would like to enlist members of the band to introduce each piece as a way for our audience to get to know the band a bit more. I am looking for 7 presenters. Let me know if you are interested - and of course if you have any ideas or questions.

We will have a full compliment of rehearsals, barring any snow storms!
