Post Mortem

CICB,

Congratulations and kudos on your recently completed 33rd season! It was an honor to be part of this very special group in 2014-5. The CICB retains a high performance level, terrific musicianship and spirited camaraderie.  It's exciting to see the audience base and support increase along with overall production value.

The CICB accomplished a great deal this season including:

Fall Concert: SET SAIL WITH US featuring guest composer J. Robert Hanson.

Holiday Concert: A CALHOUN CHRISTMAS featuring "A Cup of Christmas Tea" narrated by our own Kim Ode.

The annual MBDA reading session appearance in support of our state's music educators.

The Winter Concert: THE LUCK OF THE IRISH featuring guest composer and conductor Tim Smith as well as a wonderful performance of IRELAND: LEGEND AND LORE.

The Spring Pops Concert: AN EVENING OF JAZZ featuring a demanding variety of jazz music from the past century.

The Summer Series featuring 6 well attended concerts (over 1500 combined audience members) and a stunning performance of our own rendition of the classic WEST SIDE STORY.

That's a lot of great music performed by a dynamic community band. Your work was appreciated by me and many others.

Thank you to each member of the CICB, Tiffany and our board, all of our section leaders, everyone who volunteered for set up or trailer duty - or even hosting the monthly section parties! And Brava to each musician that took on the extra challenge of performing a solo during the season.

To all of you, I thank you for your commitment, energy and the special part you contributed to the CICB's 33rd season.
